Lead Your Way To A Lifetime of Success

Making the Right Choices
On our path through life, we are constantly making choices. Every choice that we make will have a positive result or a negative result. The decisions that you make at your age will shape the rest of your life forever. When you make the choice to learn REAL leadership by taking action in your community, there can only be one type of results
   ~ REMARKABLY POSITIVE RESULTS!

Graduating College
When you graduate college and go to find a job, they will ask you (either in your interview or on your application) "Do you have any experience?" One way to gain powerful experience is to create projects that will help you community and your world that have to do with your course of study. You can gain experience in your field and build your project portfolio so you can answer, "Yes of course, here is my portfolio of my leadership, community service, and work experience in my field."

Leadership is Learned
Leaders are not born, they are created through experiences, opportunities, and overcoming adversity. Whether you already exhibit leadership qualities, or you feel like you have no leadership traits at all, you CAN become a leader.  Your journey towards leadership starts with a community project and your project portfolio.

Influencing Others

Leadership is when people follow you because they WANT to, not because they HAVE to. When you can start a project in college that others want to be a part of, you are exercising your leadership skills for your future. You will learn powerful Leadership skills through your PBLT training that will assist you in getting a great job and even provide powerful experiences to draw on during your career.

Include your friends!
As an act of leadership, you won't be completing these projects alone. Ask your friends and family to help you accomplish your goals.

Start Small and Grow
Your initial project can be something small. Your project doesn't have to be huge, every little bit counts! Begin to build your Project Portfolio with small projects, build success, and then grow your projects as your ability to lead grows.

Large Scale Projects
Once you've successfully completed a handful of smaller projects, you can start tackling a larger project that includes more people and will help a bigger cause. As college students, your ability to lead and inspire others is at an all time high. Turn that energy into ACTION in your community and watch your Leadership Skills develop through inspiring others to WANT to help you in your projects.

Rules...(or Guidelines) For You To Engage In A PBLT Project
  1. Every project must require the participant to involve one or more people in the endeavor.
  2. Every project must require some kind of benefit to something or someone in the community.
  3. Ideally, each project is chosen by the participant, the exception being projects that require several students and/or projects organized by the group leader.
  4. The initial project shouldn’t be a complicated one –and ought to involve no more than an hour or two of work (1-2 months for the first project and shouldn't take any more than 3-4 months between projects after that).
  5. Every project is to be documented in your NLT team's Project Portfolio.

"Clara's experience with the Leadership Quest Program has been very positive. Although we can see some very positive changes in many ways, there was one incident that spoke volumes to us; we had spoken to Clara's current teacher during open house and she was telling us how much Clara participates in class and raises her hand all the time. Until she set that goal, every teacher prior had told us how quiet and reserved she was!"

- Tami Schroeder
(Clara's Mother)

"...Its been amazing to watch our youngest daughter transform from a shy 5 year-old to a confident 9 year old. She has experienced the satisfaction that comes with overcoming one's fears to achieve your goals.
We have also witnessed a remarkable level of focus and determination in our older daughter. She has become goal oriented and has worked very hard for her multiple achievements...
We are very pleased with the [NLT] Leadership Program. Not only does Mr. Engels teach the skills needed to advance in martial arts, through this website and this program, he is helping to mold our children into responsible citizens. His leadership program focuses on the development of positive character traits through lessons involving goal-setting and community service projects... The Leadership Program comes highly recommended by all members of the Raykovich family!"
