Laughing
and Learning - That's Our Goal.
A study was done that
correlates community service with academic
success; students who maintain a weekly
community service record, 85% of the time,
are more likely to succeed and have a higher
grade point average than those who do none
at all.
Having
Fun and Making A Difference.
You don’t need to be an adult to make a
difference. If your heart is telling you to
take positive action and make a difference
in your community or in your world, than use
the NLT to organize your thoughts and ideas
into a project to help your community and
your world.
Have fun by getting
your friends and family involved in
something that is worthwhile and good. You
can have an active role in participating in
community action projects in your community
that are meaningful, educational, and FUN!
Through
the NLT, You will complete a project that is
important to you.
Do you care about animals, the
environment, political issues, peace, world
awareness…etc? Your projects can range from
many different types and topics and should
not only be important to you but be fun and
educational too.
Include your
friends!
As an act of leadership, you won't be
completing these projects alone. Ask your
friends and family to help you accomplish
your goals.
Start
Small and Grow
Your initial project can be something
small. An example would be finding 10
friends to perform 10 acts of kindness each.
That equals 100 acts of kindness! Or another
example would be to find 10 friends to help
you pick up trash along the side of the road
(with parents help of course). Your project
doesn't have to be huge, every little bit
counts! Begin to build your Project
Portfolio with small projects, build
success, and then grow your projects as you
get older.
Starting At A Young
Age
When
a child is exposed to the character traits
of a leader at a young age and is surrounded
by positive role models and other leaders,
they will naturally gravitate towards
becoming a powerful leader themselves. It
may take some time, but trust that your
leadership project training, no matter how
small, will pay off in the end.
NOTE: At your young
age, though you don’t have to be an adult to
make a difference, you may need an adults’
support to help you get your project going.
Be sure to ask for your parents help and
permission in launching your project ideas.
